Treasure Hunt - the transcript

Part One, Scene One.

Opening Credits and Theme Tune.

Opening Scene, exterior, Dora on Copper is riding through an autumn colored wood. She enters the Follyfoot yard to find Steve leaning against a car, waiting for her.

St. Might have guessed where you'd be.
Do. Is that the Doctors car?
St. Yeah.
Do. Something wrong?
St. No. Just chattin'. Look, the Colonel wants to see you. I'll tell him you're here - at last.

Steve goes into the cottage while Dora leads Copper into the stable yard and shuts the gate.

Co. Dora!
Do. (speaking to Copper) Won't be a minute. Then you'll have a nice rub down - alright?
Co. You'll wear that horse out, you know.
Do. No I won't Uncle, he loves it - goes more beautifully every day.
Co. Look, somethings come up. I want you to go over to Derwent House and pick up a horse. We're going to look after it for awhile.
Do. But - can't Steve go?
St. I'm going out Dora. Got a lift with the Doctor.
Do. Where are you going?
St. To give Wendy a riding lesson on Tamany.
Do. I didn't know you were still seeing her.
St. A riding lesson - we promised.
Do. In the dark?
St. We had to wait for you, didn't we!
Co. Look, when you get there, take the left hand turn. Don't get that wrong for goodness sake! Can't imagine what sort of rumpus it would cause if we got the wrong one, eh Doctor?
Dr. Heaven forbid. No, it's the left hand stable. It's a chestnut horse. Just go around the back and collect it. Said you'd be there today.
Do. (to Coppper) Come on Copper, a days work is never done - for some.

Steve leaves with the Doctor, the Colonel goes into the cottage while Dora looks on.
